CPC ( LGV )

LGV Training - Category C1 Training



LGV training (Light Goods Vehicle Training) initially requires a driver assessment and a written report of the candidate’s performance. TravelSafe-uk offer both continuing assessment and training in addition to potential new lgv driver screening.

Where necessary TravelSafe-uk will provide training to ensure that every driver develops the necessary skills to meet the current DSA standard. As part of the LGV course Travelsafe-UK offer training on the following elements:

PCV Driver Training - Passenger Carrying Vehicles



Travelsafe-UK assessors will provide a written report of each driver’s performance on the road and offer training where necessary to ensure drivers develop the necessary skills to meet the latest DSA standards.

The emphasis with PCV is placed on:

  • Passenger safety and improved awareness skills

  • Eco friendly driving technique

  • Emergency passenger evacuation

  • Dealing with aggressive passengers

  • Highway code / Road traffic law / Construction and use regulations

Tachograph



Digital Tachograph Training

Digital Tachographs must be fitted to all new goods vehicles from May 2006. Drivers and Managers will need to be trained in tachograph operation. Our tachograph training courses cover both analog and digital systems.

Banksman



Banksman Training - Marshalling Large Vehicles Reversing

Reversing freight vehicles with the help of a trained Banksman makes a difficult job much simpler and safer. Our Banksman Training Courses are designed primarily for warehouse staff to help guide large vehicles back into small controlled areas.

Reversing incidents can be dramatically reduced by having a trained banksman available and with our short course we can train up to 3 staff per session, ensuring that you can afford to always have a trained banksman on call.
