Safe And Fuel Efficient Driving - Subsidised Van Training

SAFED Van Driver Training Courses
SAFED training courses are a great way to train your Van Drivers, with government subsidies available to reduce the costs to you. TravelSafe-UK have SAFED accredited trainers cover the whole of the UK.

SAFED for Vans is a national scheme targeted improving the efficiency of van drivers, run and accredited by the Department for Transport.

SAFED Training - What does it involve?

The training course structure involves both theory and practical driving for two drivers over the course of a day. Integrating training and assessment to reduce the time needed and the cost of the course to employers.

The average fuel reduction from the SAFED course is over 15%, and if this is kept up throughout the year with leadership from all levels in a company it has been proven to have a huge effect on fleet costs.

Additional savings can be made with regards to maintenance - the style of driving encouraged by SAFED is much more sympathetic to vehicles, but has little or no effect on journey times. Click here to view the SAFED website.

Real Value for Money:

The largest savings gained through the SAFED Van Driver Training Course are usually from reductions to insurance costs. Fleet managers can use SAFED training to reduce their overall fleet risk, usually making savings of 10% on their entire fleet insurance costs.

Dependent on company size and government funding subsidies, SAFED training is often much cheaper than the commercial rate of £175/candidate/day - contact us to find out if you are eligible for subsidised training places.

Training your own SAFED Assessors:

The SAFED Assessor course is also available to companies to be able to assess their own drivers and determine whom would most benefit from additional training, allowing you to target your training budget. SAFED Training is the ideal solution for your fleet of van drivers
